Support Us

Trash to Treasure requests the following support:

Monetary donations

Unfortunately, our expenses cannot be paid with the wonderful treasures we create. Our rent and other modest expenses must be paid with cash. In addition to becoming a member, you can support us with monetary donations to support our work. We are also actively engaged in seeking grants for special projects and to support our operations. To make a donation, please either send your check to us at the address below or click the donate button. Thank you in advance!

Fundraising opportunitites

We are engaged in several fundraising opportunities to raise money for our organization and to partner with sustainable companies in the process.

Terracycle (www.terracycle.net) is an innovative company that is a tale of ultimate Eco-Capitalism. The company's flagship product, TerraCycle Plant Food™, is an all-natural, all-organic, 'goof-proof' liquid plant food made from waste (worm poop) and packaged in waste (reused soda bottles)! We collect the following items for them that are used in their products/packaging:

Cookie Wrappers: Terracycle is going to turn cookie wrappers into unique accessories and T2T gets .02 per wrapper we send them.

Drink Pouches: Terracycle is turning used drink pouches into tote bags and pencil holders! T2T collects these and we receive .02 per pouch we send them.

Energy Bar Wrappers: Terracycle is turning these into unique accessories. T2T collects these wrappers and gets .02 per wrapper we receive.

Yogurt Containers: Terracycle is turning 6 and 32 oz. yogurt containers into planting pots. We are collecting these on their behalf and get .02 and .05 respectively.

Newer books: We are engaging in a partnership with Better World Books to sell books online to benefit T2T and a literacy partner that we select. More on this program will be forthcoming.
